If you experience any of common symptoms of allergies with no obvious explanation and/or over an extended period of time, an allergy test can help you determine the cause of these symptoms.

If you have these or any other symptoms and would like to discuss how an allergy test can help you, please contact Deborah.

Allergies FAQ's

The following lists the most common signs of allergies and intolerances but is not exhaustive

  • Sneezing, itchy, runny or blocked nose
  • Wheezing, tight chest, shortness of breath or cough
  • Raised itchy rashes
  • Swollen lips, tongue, eyes or face
  • Stomach pain, feeling sick, vomiting or diarrhea

If you have other symptoms and would like to discuss how an allergy test can help you, please contact Deborah.

The process is quite simple– once you’ve purchased your test kit, you will receive everything you need through the post.

Your test kit will include detailed instructions on how to collect and package your hair sample. The kit also includes pre-paid packaging for you to send your sample to our lab.

Your test results will be available approximately 3 weeks after the lab receives them. When your results are available, Deborah will contact you to schedule a review of your results.

An allergy test will tell you if you if have an allergy or a sensitivity to specific foods, household substances, environmental factors and/or parasites. Some of our tests also tell you if you have vitamin or mineral deficiencies.

Each test covers a range of items across the categories mentioned above. The number of items tested depends on which test you choose. If you have any questions about which test to choose, please contact Deborah.

Deborah will contact you when your results are completed at our lab. If you returned your sample more than 3 weeks ago, please contact Deborah.

The common use of the word “allergy” refers to any negative reaction you experience when exposed to a food or substance in your environment. This common use encompasses a range of negative responses ranging from rash, to digestive issues, to actual organ damage. Often the word “allergy” is used to refer to what are, in fact, sensitivities and intolerances to specific substances.

You can develop an allergy or sensitivity over time, and you can begin experiencing symptoms at any time.  While there are many contributory factors to developing allergies and intolerances, over exposure to the food/substance and stress are the most common.

Technically an allergy is an adverse response by your body’s immune system to any substance—a food or something in your environment—causing multi-organ malfunction and/or damage. The auto immune response of an allergic reaction can often be severe, even life-threatening.

Regardless of whether you have a sensitivity, an intolerance, or an actual allergy, knowing what substances cause your reactions and learning how to successfully avoid those substances, will improve your overall health. Contact Deborah.
